Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design and fabricate a prototype to manage the environment by heating, dehumidification, and air circulation modules in one form for optimal temperature and humidity conditions of crops in greenhouses. The heating module was made of detachable form capable of 3.5-kW of electric power using PTC surface heating element. The arrangement of the condenser and evaporator was changed by cooling dehumidification method, and the refrigerant was effectively used to make the best dehumidification. We designed and fabricated a waterproof motor and an aluminum fan that ccould be used in low temperature and high humidity environment of greenhouses. To verify the performance, the sensor and equipment in the greenhouse were installed to verify that the temperature could be managed at levels greater than 10℃ and the humidity over 20%.
