Abstract

Republic of Korea has high expectations on precision agricultural machinery due to the decrease in farming population, population aging, and increasing land area per farming household. Accordingly, we would like to suggest a precision agricultural machinery educational program to improve the ability to work of the people in charge of agricultural machinery service in local government. In this study, domestic and foreign education cases, technical level of the people in charge of agricultural machinery service in local government, and current agricultural machine educational programs were investigated. Those allow us to suggest the precision agricultural machine educational programs. As a result, it is found that precision agricultural farming methods were actively used by farmers in advanced nations compared to Republic of Korea. the understanding and technology development of precision agriculture is still insufficient. Through the results, we suggest to one-week courses of ICT-based precision agricultural machine on basic and advanced level. in addition, we suggest education methods on basic theory and practice and practical education on major precision agricultural element technologies.
