Abstract

Recently, due to stagnant farm income, a decrease in rural population, an aging population, and climate change, crop production has failed to be carried out as planned, causing farmers to suffer from reduced growth rates. To solve the above problems, smart farm technology was introduced to monitor and control the growth environment in real-time, based on accurate data on crop growth and the environment, and to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products. The purpose of this paper was to secure the stability of efficient hardware and software with improved compatibility, by analyzing the specifications (e.g., function, structure) of the environmental management products, and the actuator characteristics, focusing on domestic products. Results showed useful information for component selection and stability analysis, and guidelines to select the representative actuator by calculating power consumption of ventilation and circulation fans, air conditioners, heaters, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, and window motors.
