Abstract

In this study, a simulation model of the self-propelled radish harvester was developed using Recurdyn to analyze and prevent its overturning. Ground and contact conditions were set and rotated the driving direction by 360°. Results of the overturning simulation of the radish harvester was found that the maximum overturning angle was 63.3° when the driving direction was 45°, and the minimum overturning angle was 28.6° when the driving direction was 180°. The overturning angle was less than 30° between 165° and 195° in the driving direction. This is judged to be asymmetric because the harvesting section of the radish harvester is installed in the left front of the radish harvester. Accordingly, it is necessary to improve the overturning angle in order to operate the harvester in the real field. Furthermore, it is necessary to execute an overturning test using the actual harvester.
